Last Thursday Coventry BID hosted an opportunity for the Night Time Economy (NTE) Businesses to meet to hear updates from the BID, the Police, and the West Midlands Combined Authority.
We used this as an opportunity to launch our Christmas Safety initiative which has seen us invest in Stop Topps for covering drinks, Spiking Stoppers for bottles, and Drink Spiking Testing Kits. These will be distributed to all the businesses over the next week and there will be a PR campaign to support. Sian also talked about the new security app, Scentry SIS which was positively welcomed and the businesses can’t wait to get started.
WMP Superintendent Daryl Lyon spoke to the businesses regarding the new NTE Policing plan. All businesses were happy with the plan and gave feedback on how they felt the policing had been over the last few weeks.
We discussed marketing and collaborating as a city and sharing new ideas of how all the businesses can benefit from working together.
Christian Slayer Senior Policy Officer (Night-Time Economy) WMCA spoke about the new Women’s Night Safety Charter launch, which we will be leading and launching in Coventry. We also heard about the new BEAS scheme making their businesses more energy efficient, which will be launching very soon and the project also has funding ringed fenced for the NTE sector.
If you would like to know details of how your business can get involved with any of the above initiatives get in touch with Sian today.
