Dear friend,
Introducing the WABA Alliance, where we combine spirituality and social justice. I invite all who are interested in my work as a spiritual activist to join me on this journey and discover the transformative power of spiritual activism for themselves. Spiritual activism starts with recognizing that we are not separate from the world around us. With this awareness, we can engage in acts of service, advocacy, and conscious living that align with our spiritual values and contribute to positive social change. We recognize that our spiritual growth, faith, magic, and activism are intertwined, and each informs and supports the other.
In our community, we will come together to support causes that demand our attention, such as the ongoing struggles faced by Palestine, Congo, Sudan, and other communities experiencing genocide, oppression, and colonization. We will honor our spirit, truth, and humanity, recognizing that our magic lies not only in our individual power but also in our collective strength.
This space will be a platform for unlearning and relearning, as we challenge the narratives and systems that uphold oppression and inequality. We will work towards decolonization, reclaiming our identities and dismantling the structures that perpetuate injustice. It is a place where action holds equal importance to prayer, recognizing that our spirituality must be expressed through tangible steps towards justice.
Moreover, we understand that self-care, mental health, and spiritual well-being are vital aspects of our activism. Therefore, this space will also offer free classes dedicated to nurturing and maintaining our holistic health. We believe that by caring for ourselves, we become better equipped to care for others and create lasting change.
I invite each and every one of you to join this community and embark on this transformative journey together. Let us build a vibrant and engaged collective that supports one another, amplifies our impact, and fosters a world where spirituality and social justice are intertwined.
This platform will be FREE for all who want to join.
The name of this collective is WABA Alliance, inspired by my ancestral Taino language which means cave spider. Spiders are known for their exceptional weaving abilities, and the WABA Alliance aims to emulate their craftsmanship by interweaving the spiritual and the tangible.
This collective represents a unique fusion of spirituality and activism, embodying the essence of a "spiritual activist." The WABA Alliance recognizes the intrinsic connection between our inner spiritual selves and the outer physical world. It acknowledges that true transformation and positive change can only occur when we integrate both aspects of our existence. By weaving spirit with the tangible, the collective seeks to bridge the gap between the ethereal and the practical, forging a path towards meaningful and purposeful action.
Members of the WABA Alliance are committed to nurturing their spiritual growth while actively engaging with the challenges and injustices of the world. WABA embraces diverse spiritual traditions, practices, faiths, crafts and cultures. In doing so, the collective fosters an environment where individuals can explore their unique spiritual paths, while also collectively working towards a shared vision of a more compassionate and just world.
The WABA Alliance recognizes that true power lies in unity and collaboration. By pooling their collective wisdom and resources, members of the alliance amplify their impact and work towards common goals. They engage in activities such as community outreach, advocacy, education, and grassroots initiatives, all with the intention of creating positive change in their local communities and beyond.
The platform will be ready before the end of this month. I am also sending out a newsletter via the WABA newsletter before the end of the month with forms for those interested in being part of the WABA board and for those interested in gifting offerings for the community. As well as our 1st WABA gathering via zoom to explain and go over this Alliance in more detail.
This is a community effort, I alone can not handle or run this endeavor alone. We all have lives to be present for, bills to pay, and responsibilities, with the WABA Alliance we can support one another and show up without exhausting ourselves.
If you feel called to join the WABA Alliance, I encourage you to join the newsletter below. The newsletter that you are currently on is my personal newsletter.
Together, let us breathe new life into our seemingly dormant community and co-create a world where spirituality and social justice intertwine, fostering love, compassion, and lasting change.
Love, Juliet
