To our Brooklyn Editions Community: Today, we bring you this inter-season newsletter to announce something very exciting, just in time for the start of this year-end holiday season: We have opened an online print store! |
Through collaboration with a wonderful selection of artists, our studio has produced limited editions of printed works, now available through our store. |
The BKX Store features limited editions from: Colleen Barry Marina Zurkow Kendall Bessent Camila Buxeda Sara Lee Zach Blumner Jack Laroux Fatou Ridgird Jake Borndal Stephen Gross The decision to open an official print store is part and parcel of an ongoing initiative to expand Brooklyn Editions into a platform for artists and creative production. Having worked with and for various organizations throughout the years to put out editions, limited drops, projects and more, we decided it was time for us to do all of the above in-house, on our own terms. |

On a gray November in 1988 the Alva skate team stopped by the west loop Chicago studio of Stephen Gross. Stevie Dread realized this was a rare occurrence, and two rolls of polaroid film and several tasteless beers later, this iconic image was born. The image became an ad in Thrasher Magazine and was widely distributed. This is the first time any prints have ever been released from this shoot. |
We want to extend a major thank you to all the artists who put their time and work towards the launch of the BKX Store. We truly hope our community takes the time to check out and support these prints. The store is extremely exciting ground for us. Publishing editions is something we have always aspired to do, and we believe in every project we put out into the world. |
You'll hear from us soon for our full Winter 2023 Newsletter but until then, stay warm and happy shopping! |
