"How are you?" 😬😬😬

These days, I tend to say “in this moment, good.” Which implies: not good most 6pms when I'm knee deep in gut-wrenching news from the holy land + not good earlier today when seeing the isolation my fellow DEI workers are facing in this era of backlash…

When I say “I'm good” I don't mean I'm not afraid of global warming or Trump or white supremacists or trans-bashers. Or putting my menorah in the window this year. 😭

Or that I am closing my eyes to the pain and injustice in life: In therapy these days, I am learning to validate my own emotional truths while acknowledging the experiences of those with less privilege in our deeply complex world. It's not un-awkward.
+ I know that burnout lurks for so many of us open hearted people. 🙋

What keeps me going is sinking into this one very breath here now, this warm cup of black mushroom coffee, a tiny work win, a mischievous moment with a new friend…my upcoming annual childfree, Christmas-stress-free 20-days in beachy queer Mexico.

Also, I seek out little seeds + signs of hope: the success of the trans santa project, Israeli-Palestinian women working together, and most immediately; the 25+ people joining my program to get listened to as a lesbian in a science lab, a Black woman in tourism, a nonbinary ADHD tech founder... Together this movement of 200+ alums inspires me; it's working: our baby-steps are creating waves.

p.s. If you've been holding back on signing up, my intuition tells me that you're either

- hella busy. And afraid you'll not complete it. I know. I love you. (I am you.) And, I built this program for us. It's just 60m a week max. 7x over 11 weeks. 11am-12noon pac. Come when you can. No disrespect when you can't. No need to RSVP. (I also teach you to quit a LOT of the social media that makes you mad/sad/overwhelmed).

and/or

-aren't sure if you “qualify" because you're not sure what you'd focus on. that's 40% of the participants. You're passionate about change but aren't sure how to make an impact that matters.

That's why the first section of the course focuses on getting you clear on one of your “sweet spot” ways to help your workplace, community, city block or a small group of people just like you. the idea is to start small.

Here's a quick quiz to help you decide if you want to be a thought leader type.

Hint: It's not offered again until 2026. Every other year.

By then you could be confident, deeply heard + seen,
and magnetizing your dream jobs and/or clients. :)

p.s. Getting invited to interview people is one of my favorite results of becoming a “thought leader” aka a recognized person within certain spheres. Here we talked about data on women in the workplace.
