For as long as I can remember, today has always been the start of the holiday season. Starting in high school I spent years working in retail at two stores that are no longer in business—Montgomery Wards and Sears. 
After I left retail, I did some major black friday shopping and even attempted a gray Thursday or two at stores when they had amazing deals.
Now though?
I'm a total Amazon shopper (or online in general). The idea of crowds and noise and all that? Used to energize me. Now it exhausts me. LOL
