First name / Friend,
Last week, you might have seen the news about a new mixed-use development that has been proposed on the Charlotte Avenue corridor in District 24. The mixed-use commercial property project includes plans to build residences and an urban grocery store. You can read more in
this article from the Nashville Business Journal.
I will host two meetings in December (details below) to hear from Metro Planning staff and the development team on the proposed project. These meetings aim to educate and engage the community about the project and provide the developers with feedback. The proposed development is scheduled to be heard in December at the Planning Commission, but the project will be requested to be deferred to give time for community meetings.
The proposed rezoning from IR (Industrial Restrictive) to SP (Specific Plan zoning) for properties located at 3900, 3906, and 3914 Charlotte Avenue, 3905, 3907, 3909, 3911, 3913, and 3915 Alabama Avenue, 411 39th Ave. N and 406 40th Ave. N to permit a mixed-use development with 249 multi-family residential units and the commercial use for a grocery store.
