House Bill 21-1162
IMPORTANT for businesses using plastic bags and takeout containers!
Colorado's law phasing out single-use plastic products steps up January 1st, when many stores will be prohibited from providing single-use plastic carryout bags to customers. The Plastic Pollution Reduction Act took effect in 2023, when "large stores" were required to charge 10 cents for every paper or plastic carryout bag provided to customers at checkout. Beginning January 1st, stores are prohibited from providing single-use carryout bags to customers, except small stores that operate solely in Colorado and have three or fewer locations.

Snow Removal Pilot Program in Action
A snow removal pilot program has been launched for 2023 and we've already been in action with two snow removals during the month of November. As you may have seen, Littleton DDA uniformed workers clear snow from sidewalks and apply ice melt along Main St and Alamo Avenue between Bega Park and Santa Fe Drive. If your ground-floor business is located in this service area and you have not received our Snow Removal emails, please email Danni at: info@downtownlittleton.org

Holiday Truffula Trees in Downtown Littleton
The Littleton Merchants Association (LMA), with support from the LDDA, constructed Truffula trees as an addition to the City's holiday lighting displays, to add ambiance along Main Street since the trees on the street were recently lost due to disease.

The LDDA supports local partners and efforts that align with our mission, and the LMA's efforts to create a festive ambiance that encourages visitors to linger downtown during the holiday season fit the district’s mission to foster economic vitality and community engagement.

Visit the Truffula trees on Main Street now through the end of the year.
