DESIGNING WITH
    ELEMENTS OF VINTAGE
There's no doubt that designing our interiors with antiques has seen a surge in interest recently. Whether it’s a case of incorporating heirlooms, or sourcing ‘new’ antique pieces, they have much to bring to any home. It's not just about following a trend or adhering to a particular design style but about creating a space that reflects the unique journey and tastes of your own.

START WITH A LEAD PIECE
Look for pieces that you love and build your room around that signature piece. Starting with an antique rug is a fantastic approach to designing with antiques, as it provides a strong foundation for the entire room.

COMBINE DIFFERENT ERAS & STYLES
If you are designing a space with just trends, it’s going to start to look dated quickly, but if you take the time to curate and shop in a variety of places, you will end up with a much more timeless room. Keep in mind that a home should be collected not decorated!

ANTIQUE LIGHTING
With many beautifully decorative designs available, antique and vintage lighting is becoming increasingly sought after to make a decorative statement. Most vintage lamps can be easily re-wired. If you find something that suits your style, just a little bit of work will be needed to make it good as new again.

EMBRACE TEXTILES
Whether introduced through cushions, lampshades or bedspreads, vintage textiles are a brilliant way to inject color, pattern and softness into an interior.  Consider hanging a fabric panel as a piece of wall decor.
