Good Morning!

How've you been? All well? Hope so. I hope things are very good with only a mere pinch of not-good, because sometimes we need that contrast to recognize just how good very good can be. Know what I mean?

BOOK TALK
It's been an interesting week for my writing schedule. We are entering the zone where I'm forced to take my hands off of the wheel and go where the wind blows me. Being somewhat of a control-magnet, this is not the easiest thing for me to do, but as it turns out, sometimes we don't know what's best for us and we need to allow ourselves to just experience life. I do have detailed thoughts on a few projects for 2024, and I can't wait to share! But I'm not going to right now, because you get a break too.

LIFE TALK
I am a person who likes to feel in control of my life, but sometimes, things don't go my way. Generally, small inconveniences bother me more than they should because, well, if I planned things out and did what I said I'd do, then shouldn't that be enough? Shouldn't all of the other components fall into place the way I expected them to?

I can plan the shizzle out of my actions and follow them to the letter, but unless my actions happen in a bubble, there are going to be external factors that affect my plan. And here's the kicker: sometimes those external factors create an outcome that is better than what I expected.

The thing about control is that we can only control so much. Maybe we need to loosen our grip on our plans to see the opportunities we've otherwise missed. That's how I'm choosing to see it in 2024. Are you with me?

xo!
