Writing to you from my favorite place - 30,000 feet in the air - on a return flight from London. My husband Connor & I decided to take a last minute babymoon in true YOLO fashion.
While a post-holidays vacation is an arguably unconventional start to the year, I canāt imagine having started it any other way.
And actually, Iāve found it to be a relatively low-stress time to take a few days off and ease into the new year before things ramp back up.
Itās also given me time to both think and not think about 2024 planning & goals, as well as sit in further reflection of 2023. (In case you missed it, we did a brief run down of the yearās highlights on Instagram ⦠and Iāll hopefully get around to sharing more on the CU blog.)
As far as the trip itself, we stayed on the move and packed as much as we could into each day, taking advantage of the fact that Iāve felt really good throughout my pregnancy. (Despite a bit of muscular back & upper rib pain ⦠not that itās flaring up right now or anything ā¦)
It was refreshing to take 10,000+ steps a day, navigate a big city, and experience so many new sights, landmarks, and cultural activities.
The mental unwind felt necessary after all the course creation & our launch this fall, not to mention the general chaos of the holiday season and all that comes with preparing for a baby.
Further, stepping away from my desk and day-to-day routine always helps to bring the highest priorities into focus.
It has me really looking forward to finishing up my personal 2024 goals and clarifying the yearās vision + plans for CU.
