Whether I was reading The Hunger Games or The Divergent Series, I love to see the hero succeed. Don't you? It's in our nature.
What's interesting is that even though I love these stories, I fail to see the story unfolding in my own life. I pray against the impossible odds. I pray against the hard times. Yet, how can I become the hero in my own story if I whine when the going gets tough? So quickly, we forget that we are writing our own story. We can choose to be different. Every now and then I have to remind myself that with God, I am the unlikely hero in my story. What about you?

How's your story turning out? How often do you see your own life as a story in which you play the leading role? Are you playing the hero or the victim? Playing it safe or daring to live greatly? Heroes take responsibility for what they can control. Victims make excuses. Be the Hero!
