As I think about setting intentions for myself in 2024, at the top of my own personal list is always ”MORE FAMILY TIME.”  

 

Time to visit, to play, to listen and connect.  To take group photos.  To tell each other how important they are.  How often these things can get overlooked if we don’t take the time to prioritize and plan for them.  

 

At the Magnolia House we have come to specialize in the the ART of hosting groups for wonderful FAMILY reunions ….  It feels like important work for us … to be holding space for families to connect at our properties….  

 

We’ve had groups fly from all over the country to meet at our place.  

 

With plenty of room to spread out and have your own space whilst staying together, the property lends itself to these FAMILY reunion weekends. 

 

Although the estate feels private and “away” from everything, truthfully it‘s in the heart of downtown Hot Springs meaning there’s lots of options to create a really fun filled weekend itinerary.   There is something for everyone…

Some of our top recommendations include day trips such as whitewater rafting, fly fishing or skeet shooting, awesome hikes, going to see live music at the local brewery or hiring a private chef to cook a special meal for the family. 

 

Some of our reunion families come and settle in to the property for lazy days spent playing games (cornhole, horsehoes, chess), lazing around in our hammocks and cooking in our chef’s kitchen.

 

Most groups take a few hours to hike to Lover’s Leap on the Appalachian Trail.  (You can get to the trail on foot from our property. )  Others drive up to Max Patch for incredible vistas of the mountains.  

 

I even suggest that families hire one of our recommended photographers for some  incredible family photos.  What a great idea right?   

 

With 10 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms across our 2 homes on the 3 acre estate, Magnolia House can offer lodging for up to 20 based on double occupancy.  

 

In 2024, we are also adding an additional 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom home to our repertoire.   - The Drover Cottage.  Currently undergoing an extensive renovation, our Drover Cottage,  should be ready by May.  

 

We can accommodate groups from 2 people to 24 people.
