Turning the calendar over to a new year often brings reflections and resolutions. I stumbled a bit in 2023, multiple times. In April, I delayed a book I very much want to finish (The Beast Within, it's still coming, I promise!), and early in autumn, I permanently canceled two books that I couldn't find any mojo to write. It turns out, there was no mojo to write anything. The fourth quarter of 2023 was creatively barren. But it's regrouping time! The characters are alive and talking to me, and the words are coming back. In 2024, there will be more monsters and small-town contemporary romances. I'm currently writing a steamy and cute monster romance featuring a grumpy revenge demon and the sunshiny human who makes him feel unfamiliar, happy things. It's called The Grumpy Demon's Sunshine, and it will release as part of the Monsters in Love 5: Lost in the Fire multi-author anthology in March!
