Welcome to our first newsletter of 2024.

On an overcast Sunday afternoon last week, yards of bunting and candy stripe tablecloths brought a welcome burst of colour at our Great Winter Get Together. Over fifty people of all ages and backgrounds took part in an afternoon of fun, community and delicious sustenance. Our new activity room saw local artists and artisans showcase their talents, with workshops ranging from clay moulding, treasure box painting and greeting card design, to the aromatic calm of lavender bag making. Our classroom was transformed into a buzzing hub of old-school board games (who doesn’t love Connect 4?) conversations with people, familiar and new, as everyone partook of an abundant spread of delicious food and drink.

A big shout out to the fantastic team of volunteers who gave up part of their weekend to help things run so smoothly with charm and enthusiasm.

Thank you to Westway Trust for funding the event.

We don’t do what we do for awards and recognition - but it does feel wonderful when one comes our way! Young K&C are seeking nominations of individuals, projects or organisations that have made a difference to the lives of children and young people in Kensington and Chelsea. There are lots of award categories to choose from, so if you think you’d like to submit a nomination (ahem…) you can use the link below.

Nominations close 12th February.

Information, Advice & Guidance

I joined Nova this year because I was intrigued by their approach and commitment to growth, promoting equal opportunities and welcoming attitude towards clients. Nova’s commitment to fostering new opportunities for clients aligns with my background in mentoring and pastoral care in schools and my current field of study, counselling. I’m eager to be part of an environment that values innovation, continuous learning and the chance to make a meaningful impact in people’s lives.
