Website struggles? I got 'em.
If you've been struggling with a high bounce rate, low conversion rate, and a lack of ideal client inquiring with you, I've got a few fixes for ya that might help.

Websites are a big deal. It's your literal home on the web. You own it, unlike your Insta and Facebook profiles.

So I know it can feel like a big let down when your home is driving your guests away rather than inviting them in.

I obviously can't help you with every possible thing that may be affecting your website visitor rate, cause uhh that would be the longest email ever. BUT I can give you a couple of small tips and encourage you to go give today's podcast episode a listen, or skim the blog post.

Here are some tips to create clear navigation menus on your website.
  1. Keep it simple and be predictable, using clear labels. Do not be cutesy with your wording. For example, use “Blog” instead of “Journal” and “About” instead of “Meet the Artist.”
  2. Be consistent with your wording, color, and font choices. This is true of every part of your website, but is especially important for navigation menus.
  3. Nix the “Home” button and simply link your logo to the homepage. This is standard practice.
Now clickity-click the buttons below to hear the rest of 5 Reasons People Leave Your Website and How to Fix It.

Don't let that precious face fool you.

In 1 week he has made one of my garden beds his personal bathroom, eaten approximately 7 cabbage and kale plants, shredded a bath sponge (where it came from, I dunno), stepped in his own đź’© then jumped on me, and caused me to lose around 15 hours of sleep.

But good gosh, when I see him playing with my sweet Lukey-Pukey who has been alone for almost his entire 8 years of life in our backyard, I am so stinking grateful for this little terror.

And so stinking grateful for this business that allows me to change up my schedule at a moment's notice to go play fetch. 🎾

More Chicken…
We got sick of BBQ potatoes.

Last week I told ya about roasting my first chicken. I kept that up this week, and I'm sure glad I did. After unexpectedly adopting a new pup, life has been unpredictable this week. Potty breaks 1-2 times a night. Multiple play and training sessions throughout the day. Mourning over the plants he's pulled out of my garden beds. 🥹

Not a lot of time left for creative cooking alongside running by business and other regular responsibilities.

So this week we ate a lot of BBQ chicken baked potatoes. And yesterday we got sick of them, LOL. So I switched it up and made a quick chicken bacon ranch casserole.

SO. GOOD. and simple. I've loved simple this week.

  • 8 slices of cooked bacon, chopped
  • 4 cups of cooked chicken (you'll still have plenty leftover for other meals)
  • 1 cup of Ranch dressing (I also added a packet of Ranch seasoning cause…we like Ranch)
  • 1 8oz block of cream cheese
  • 1 cup of shredded sharp cheddar cheese
Mix it all up and bake in a casserole dish at 375 for 15 minutes or until bubbly. Supper is ready! I served it will those really good blue tortilla chips from Aldi. Yum.

In case you missed it last week, here's the link to the roast chicken recipe.

Enjoy! đź’•
