-  2023 Year In Review  -

Hi friends!

As we stand on the threshold of a new year, it brings us great joy to share with you the remarkable journey we undertook in 2023 through Warm Hearts Ministry. Your support has been key to feeding and sharing the gospel in Malawi. We are eager to recount the impact of your generous support.

As we look back on 2023, we invite you to celebrate not only the achievements, but also the vision of sharing the gospel that propels us forward into 2024. God has been so good already, and we look forward to seeing what He will do this year.

Thank you for being an integral part of Warm Hearts Ministry's journey. Together, let us carry the spirit of Jesus into the coming year, creating ripples of change that will have an eternal impact on generations to come.

With heartfelt gratitude,

John and Gina Moore

Trip #1:

May

John and I travelled to Ntcheu, Malawi in May.  Our goal was to learn about the ministries, culture and needs of the people we had been serving through financial gifts over the last 10 years. It was John’s first time meeting Pastor Matt and the first time either of us of met Matt’s family and friends. It certainly was a life changing trip!  We had several opportunities to teach but we were
the real students.

Trip #2:
September

Melinda Garrison traveled
with me in September.
During our trip, we were able to host a women's conference, put on a children's ministry event for over 1,000 children, and train Sunday school teachers with the flannel graph resources we brought with us.

Here's a glimpse at one of the outreach opportunities we were able to provide for children at Christmas, due to the generosity of donors.
3,500 children
were fed and heard the gospel of Jesus Christ

1,080 children
gave their hearts
 to Christ!!

THE TESTMONY OF GILBERT JEREMIAH

"Gilbert Jeremiah is 12 years old. He comes from Kambilonjo Village which is just across the border in Mozambique. His village is well known by its evil traditional practices whereby children aged between 7 through 15 are trained in witchcraft so that they can be used to kill innocent people
and other evil things.

The Warm Hearts team had a program of feeding and training the children at Immanuel Baptist Church on December 24th, 2023. Many children came to participate. We asked each child to bring his or her own plate and cup for eating and drinking the fruit juice.

Gilbert came with no plate and cup. He was very afraid, looked uncomfortable, and kept isolating himself from the group of his fellow children. The teacher noticed something and paid close attention to him. When the teacher tried to reach at him, he tried to run away thinking that the teacher wanted to bite him and let him go. But the teacher was very kind, cheerful, and inclusive. On break time, Gilbert was like the group guest of honor. The teacher gave him a plate and a cup for juice, and lucky enough he was told to stand to receive the rice and the juice.

Later in the afternoon when the lesson resumed, the teacher was teaching on the subject of love, that Jesus loves each one of you regardless of your background, regardless of evil activity you have done or are doing. Later the teacher asked who would love to receive Christ, and Gilbert did not hesitate came forward and confess the Lord. When he was asked to share what he has learned he said, “I was very afraid, and I did not think that you could have accommodated me. I am a sinner. I need this Jesus who has fed me and let me be part of this group.” HALLELUJAH, PRAISE THE LORD.

The following Sunday, he came with his father to worship the Lord at Immanuel Baptist Church. His Father said, “I have come because of the good testimony my son said at home.”

Let's all pray for Gilbert, his family, and his village."
