Issue #158 |  A New Look - Opening Day Itinerary

A New Look

158 newsletters have gone out since the Fall of 2020.  Crazy!

The newsletter is an opportunity for us, CSHL, to speak directly to you, the parents.  We want you to know this program is for - and by - your kids.  We want your feedback.  We want your ideas.  We want you to contribute.  And heck, we even want you to apply for Board positions ;)

This is why we are changing how we do things with Winter League.  We asked parents to step up and volunteer to be coaches this season… so that we could provide your kids with an improved CSHL playing experience, potential practice times between games for player development, and perhaps most importantly a way to build community within our organization.  And coaches will have much more of a say in how we build our youth program.

After all, that's the best part!  Connecting with other link-minded individuals who find themselves in the same place at the same time as you and building a bond.

[Speaking of which, we are coordinating a CSHL family night at a Checkers game.  The game is Sunday, February 18th, and we have a whole section of tickets!  Please see details below]

This Saturday (weather permitting), we will kick off this new and improved model.  We ask that you show up early (details and itinerary below) to get checked in and get your jersey, and be open to having a new experience this season.  We are excited to kick things off!

And as always, we will continue tweaking things and making improvements along the way and in future seasons.

Thank you for being here.  We'll see you at the rink!
