- The Rule of 2: we can only handle 2 life events at one time (doesn't matter if they are positive or negative). With changes and habits, we should work on only 2 at a time
- More serotonin is produced in our gut than in our brain, our brain and gut have a strong connection.
- Stop, breathe, be. Stop what you're doing, take a breath to center yourself and be present and grounded.
- Therapeutic writing - 20 minutes of writing for 4 days straight (cognitive rewiring)

Almost 5 months later, I finally got my Bend & Sunriver, Oregon vlog up!! I tried something new with the thumbnail--it's chaotic but I kinda love it because of the collage element and also that I can put Valentine on there with a deer and a vegan crunchwrap lol. |

This video in particular took a long time to put together and edit because I realized I did not take much video! I'm a lot better about it now but when I first started I wasn't used to documenting so much and getting b-roll footage! Sometimes it's really fun to capture something to share but I'm also trying to remember to put my phone away and be in the present moment with Val, something she is so good at! Even though it takes a lot of work, at the end of the day it's really fun to make these videos and relive and remember these moments! I am documenting for myself and sharing in case you're interested and I'm also trying to provide some info if anyone is also traveling with their pup in the area and likes vegan food :) If you prefer watching, you can take a look at the vlog and if you like the blog post format better, take a look at the post: I have LOTS of footage from WA and I can't wait to start putting those vlogs together! |

As we wrap up January, it marks 4 months on the road! I kind of can't believe it! Sometimes it feels like a dream, like was I really in Washington a few months ago?? Overall I have loved this experience and sharing it with Valentine. This is the life I was building for myself all along--sometimes consciously, sometimes unconsciously--and I do feel like in many ways it really suits us. I've been thinking about what the best way is to document these experiences and I'm going to try writing a monthly recap blog post! Most of these posts will probably be on the longer side as they serve as my own travel journal. They will include photos (which I think look pretty cool in this format vs in small squares on social media), highlights, and things I don't want to forget from each place.
