Dear First name / friend of Bridge to Türkiye,

Welcome to a promising start to 2024, a year already distinguished by moments that inspire and unify our expanding community. Our journey this month has spanned from Ankara to New York's Türkevi, Chicago, and Boston, where we had the honor of hosting Prof. Hüseyin Vural, the visionary behind ILKYAR.

In early January, the Sounds of Türkiye concert, organized by our San Diego Giving circle, offered more than a delightful evening of jazzy Turkish melodies. It played a significant role in contributing to much-needed resources for the child amputee survivors of the Türkiye earthquakes.

Just hours after the first-ever Turkish astronaut embarked on his historic space journey, we tuned in live to watch the talented members of Boğaziçi University's Rocket Team present their BTF fundraiser on TV. Their goal: to build the first-ever liquid-fueled rocket engine designed by Turkish students.

Yet, as the first anniversary of one of the most profound tragedies in modern Türkiye draws near, we also take a moment to reflect on a year marked by significant loss. Amidst this sorrow, it's important to remind ourselves that the unparalleled solidarity and compassion of our BTF family shone brightly. As February 6 approaches, we are preparing to unveil our one-year report, highlighting the impact of the BTF Türkiye Earthquake Relief and Recovery Fund — a testament to our collective achievements.

Your heartfelt support and solidarity have been the powerhouse behind our efforts. As we continue on this journey into 2024, we remain committed to building bridges of kindness that stretch from our hearts to the heart of Türkiye. Thank you for being an essential part of this journey.

With love and gratitude,
