Good morning and happy Friday!!!! How is everyone doing today? I hope you've had a nice week. This week for me finally felt like I'm back to normal. I'm feeling really good (although Mark is sick again - he's now dealing with a bad head cold - which is very frustrating with just recovering from Covid) and I'm doing everything possible to try and stay as healthy as possible.

I wouldn't be able to add up the amount of hours it took to edit Sunday's video - but every single one of them was worth it because I really love how it turned out. I had about 4.5 hours of recorded content to sift through, and I was able to edit it down to a little over an hour. I think it's an hour and 13 minutes to be exact - so it's a long one. It's a really difficult task figuring out which content stays and what goes, and then figuring out how the remaining content becomes a cohesive story - but I truly love the challenge, and I hope you guys enjoy the ride I take you on. I'm really looking forward to Sunday!

Outside of spending countless hours editing - and helping Mark recover (which is very difficult, I must add, because he refuses to sit down and rest. When I'm sick, I'm in the bed and that's where you can find me until I'm better. Him - he's out in the garage building shelves, he's in the yard picking up sticks, he's loading up the truck to take stuff to the dump. He won't sit down and that's exactly why he's sick again)  - I made sure to take breaks and get out and have a little bit of fun. Here are a few of my favorite moments from this week!

There's no way that I am not going to the Justin Timberlake concert - and this short clip confirms that. Isn't it amazing how you cannot hear a song for years and years and years, yet the moment you hear it again - you realize that you still know every word? Like how does that happen? I cannot wait for this concert - I know I will be up and dancing and singing from beginning to end.

You guys really enjoyed last week's home tour video suggestion, so I have another one for you. This one is a Spanish-style home (which is my favorite style of home) in California and I really love everything about it. The layout (I just love the indoor/outdoor living you can do in California - I would have those doors open 98% of the time), the gate that closes off the kitchen, the architecture, all of the personal decor (along with stories to go along with them), and vintage furniture - wow! It's just done really well and I would place this home in my top 5 homes that I could move right into and for the most part not change a single thing.

Sticky toffee pudding carrot cake?!! What??? Say less. I'm obsessed with mixing 2 of my favorite desserts together and I am 100% making this for Valentines Day. I just have to have it. Here's the full recipe so that you don't have to go and look for it.

She just get's it right all of the time. I love her vibe and her impeccable taste in music. Every time she posts, I find myself adding new music to my playlists.

Speaking of music - Usher just launched this new song today and it's been on repeat all morning! I cannot wait for the Usher Bowl next Sunday!

I must do this French door DIY project once we start on our primary bedroom and bathroom. You guys will see, but we don't have a door that separates the bathroom from the bedroom, it's completely open and I don't like it. The toilet is in its own little closet with a door, but the rest of the space is open. Mark doesn't understand why I would want to add a door - and I told him that sometimes you just need a little privacy to do things you need to do, without anyone walking in. Having these doors in our space is going to be perfect - I'm so glad I found this video.

I made this homemade ginger salad dressing and it's really, really good. It tastes just like the one you get at most Japanese restaurants.

We don't eat steak very often, but I feel like I need to pick up a few this weekend to make this Mediterranean steak bowl - it looks so good!

Clearly by now, you know that I love Spanish-style homes - so here's one more that I'm obsessed with. Mark and I keep talking about our next home, and while I'm not sure if we could ever find a Spanish-style one - I know for sure that I'm definitely going to be adding some of the elements from this type of home - like arched doorways, terra cotta tiles, wooden beams, large fireplaces….I just love it all.

I mean, sadly….he is not wrong.
