For the first time, I was sent on assignment as an esteemed member of the “credentialed press” for WVON 1690 and it was to the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah! The last time I was at Sundance was in 2003, with my songwriting partner and husband, and we were there to celebrate the appearance of our song “Mabel Custer” in a David Gordon Green Film “All The Real Girls.” Then, just like now, it was a breathtaking experience, but back then, it landed us in front of Robert Redford and other soon to be Hollywood actors about to blow up and become superstars. The Sundance Institute has opened applications for their 2024 summer labs, granting, and mentorship programs for artists here.
