The first edition of the CID Power Panel 2024 took place on January 18th in the new Al Huzaifa Design Studio in Al Ferdous 3 in Al Wasl Road. Our Founder Monica was one of the four region's leading designers who joined to discuss the key trends in interiors set to shape the year ahead. Talking trends and exploring the aesthetics for 2024 was the main focus of the first panel, together with interesting conversations on new approaches such as AI and new color palettes. “Peach fuzz”, the new color palette was introduced which led the panelists to discuss the impact that color has to create very distinctive and memorable spaces. The panelists also agreed on how AI should be treated as an extra tool for projects but not as the main source especially for the creative part. Subject which also led to the importance of educating the team as well on how to use AI and also incorporate sustainability traits within new projects. |

FORCES FOR CHANGE Artificial Intelligence and Design |

AI technologies are revolutionizing the interior design industry, offering innovative solutions and enhancing the creative process. But what do we really think? Would this replace our jobs? With machine learning algorithms and computer vision, AI can analyze vast amounts of design data, trends, and user preferences, providing valuable insights for designers. Our believe is that it is important to get educated and learn how to use it as a TOOL, to improve efficiency and turnover of projects. That said, we are still very much old school when it comes to creative minds, that you can not reproduce. |

ARCHITECTURAL WONDER unsurpassed villa in Old Bendinat, Mallorca. |

Villa La Jolla is truly a one of a kind property on one of the last large plots in Old Bendinat which made it possible to construct 1 728 sqm, of which 1 085 sqm indoor space, a 6-car garage, and a now impossible to build 24x5m infinity pool. The house has been constructed with only the finest materials like American walnut, Burmese teak and Iranian travertine, and all interior fixtures are from top-class brands CEA, Boffi, Kreon, OTIIMA, Rimadesio and Gaggenau. Not one corner has been cut in creating this ultra luxurious villa. |

The villa is an imposing 40m long slab of concrete resting on top of a glass and stone base. The frameless motorized floor-to-ceiling windows making up most of the face can be completely opened and hidden virtually erasing the bounds between the indoors and outdoors. The terraces, pool, bottom floor, basement and all the bathrooms are clad with a monumentally striking Iranian travertine. The brutalistic stone and concrete is counterbalanced by fully paneled American walnut walls and laths in Burmese teak covering the ceiling on the ground floor, and an extra wide plank oak parquet on the first floor. Linen curtains throughout the whole house and shaggy rugs also work to achieve the perfect balance between brutal and cozy. |
