// the mood & vibes this week
— rain, rain, rain. that's what's happening. the roads outside my house have been closed until further notice when i'm writing this (monday morning). it's equal parts beautiful and scary; the thrill of living right in the throes of nature.
— to that end, i've really been leaning into the hibernation vibes. i've seen a lot of content with the message that if the earth is resting in this time, maybe we should too. the concept of planting season versus blooming season. that metaphor has guided me in these past weeks; remembering that now is the time to gather energy, to restore and rejuvenate, while looking forward to brighter days.
— & summers are usually mine. i find that i feel most alive, most in a blooming season, during those months. so for now, we're taking a beat.
— i saw a few incredible houses on the market. toured a vintage midcentury in mount washington inhabited by the same owner for 30 years, a pristine spanish in silver lake, and plan on visiting a musician's abode this sunday. there's definitely more activity as we head into the spring season, and remarkable houses are emerging from their winter slumber. as am i.
