Puppers really are the best people š¾ Try these simple DIY heart-shaped treats for your pups this year! I love to spoil Don and this recipe is so perf for V-day: Ingredients: - 2 cups whole wheat flour (or substitute with coconut flour or any other dog-friendly flour if your dog is sensitive to wheat)
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1 cooked beetroot, pureed (for natural red coloring)
- 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons peanut butter (make sure it's xylitol-free)
Instructions: - Preheat your oven to 350Ā°F (175Ā°C).
- Blend the cooked beetroot in a blender until smooth. You may need to add a little water to help it blend. Measure out 1/2 cup of beetroot puree for the recipe.
- Mix the dry ingredients in a large bowl. Combine the whole wheat flour and rolled oats.
- Add the wet ingredients to the bowl. Stir in the beetroot puree, unsweetened applesauce, egg, and peanut butter. Mix until all the ingredients are well incorporated. The dough should be firm but pliable. If it's too wet, add a bit more flour.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thickness. Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut out the treats. If the dough sticks, you can place it between two pieces of parchment paper to roll it out.
- Place the treats on a parchment-lined baking sheet. They can be placed relatively close together as they don't expand much.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the treats are dry and hard. The baking time will depend on your oven and the size of the treats, so keep an eye on them.
- Allow to cool completely on a wire rack before serving to your dog or packing them up as gifts.

Have you ever been to a Paint & Sip class? They are SO FUN! I went with one of my favorite brands on a girls night and we were suppose to paint an eye ball with eye lashes ā¦ when I was painting a pink Smokey eye in my eyeball, I realized that it looked more like the body of a flamingo than an eyelid. I let my āØartistic visionāØ take over, and just went for it. I had the best time! |

I need to be banned from Home Depot. I walk in there, and I swear I cosplay a contractor. I can do anything!!! Do I know how? No. Will I still try? Yes. I discovered peel and stick molding on Amazon and tried it in my office ā¦ HOLD MY PURSE! Iām going to mold my whole house it looks so good. Tips if you try: get a laser level. Make the outline perfect with tape, and then match the molding up against the tape. I promise itās easier than it looks! š |
