NEUTRAL SHOES (for each season)

Next to pants, SHOES are the hardest.
And the best look can fall flat with bad shoes.
It's not fair, but it's true.

The good (sort of) news is that shoes have gotten (sort of) better in the past few years. And by “better” I mean, they are starting to make comfortable shoes that aren't awful looking…but I know it is still really hard when you troublesome feet - which many of us do.

Today we're focusing on your everyday shoes that work well with most outfits. My advice for this shoe is SIMPLE is always best. Think sleek, neutral and unadorned for the most modern and versatile look.

For me personally, my most-worn shoes (next to white sneakers) are:
taupe booties, black and tan flats and more recently purchased, neutral loafers.

Recently I found this brand, Vivaia,  that is know for their “Running Heels” - dress shoes that stretch and mold to your foot and get great reviews for comfort. They have pumps and flats and more.  Fyi!

You don't need a lot of shoes…but you do need the right shoes for you. If you are starting from scratch this time of year, my top pick for the most versatile, outfit- making shoes would be neutral/taupe/tan booties (especially if you live in a cold climate) and a loafer.

And are some great looks from Beth at Style at a Certain Age…and I love her shoe choices:
