BLACK (OR NAVY, GRAY) JACKET

This basic is somewhat “controversial” (if that's even possible).

Beside being told not to wear black, your lifestyle - or style in general - may not line up with a traditional black blazer. And that is F.I.N.E.

That said, there are times when adding a black/navy/gray blazer is an easy and effective way to add polish, style and a finishing touch to most outfits -
casual or dressy.  You could also opt for a lighter neutral, like white, cream, camel or taupe. The point is, it's neutral and works with many items in your wardrobe.

Since my lifestyle is mostly casual, I opt for tailored and polished, but also stretchy and comfortable  blazers that  can be dressed up or down. Other options include a leather jacket, moto jacket, sweater blazer or even a neutral cardigan.

Don't “pigeon hole” your blazers…I love them with jeans and loafers or sneakers - add a pair of modern hoop earrings and a blouse or tee too!
Kate knows;)
