Message from the BOARD of 2022 - 2023 As the outgoing board, we find ourselves at the juncture where we bid farewell, proud of the strides we've made, and eager to pass the torch to the incoming leadership. But before we officially part ways, we want to share the following message of gratitude and celebration. In the past two years, we have collectively worked towards advancing the digital landscape of Suriname under the leadership of the outgoing board. The previous board consisting of Anvit Ramlakhan (Chairman), Charissa Sharman - Parmanand (Secretary), Sheetal Sujan (Treasurer), Furgell Pinas, and Nilesh Bishesar (board members) greatly thank everyone for the incredible support and collaborations in this journey, without which we couldn't have achieved the remarkable milestones: Here's what we've been able to accomplish: - Successfully completed our board plan with an impressive rate of 80.16%.
- Restructured our association performance environment, finances, and committee goals for increased efficiency.
- Significantly improved our financial liquidity (highest ever), including paying off outstanding debts of the past six years.
- Hosted the largest ICT-As Summit to date in 2023, fostering knowledge-sharing and networking.
- Addressed and completed the backlog of financial audited reports from 2019-2021.
- Collaborated with local and international organizations in more than 30 events to emphasize the impact of ICT on sustainable digital development.
- Launched the Vision 2030 Task Force for the strategic development of an e-Suriname.
Our sincere appreciation goes out to all previous boards, members, and stakeholders for their unwavering support and valuable contributions. Together, we've made a positive impact, and we are enthusiastic about continuing this journey with fresh perspectives and renewed dedication. We firmly believe in the power of succession and continuous change, as it brings forth opportunities, innovation, and growth. To the new board, we extend our sincere thanks for taking on this challenge, and you have our full support.
