Hey FBomb Squad,

Kimfer here, your Fbomber in Chief, and current self-dubbed Chief Swearer and Productivity Curator, diving deep into the murky waters of what it means to be productive as a badass business owner.

Can we cut through the chase? Productivity is a loaded term, at least for me. For some, it conjures images of hustle culture and burning the midnight oil. For others, it's about finding a rhythm that fuels creativity and fulfillment without sacrificing sanity.

But let's get real. As business owners, it's all too easy to fall into the trap of hustle and grind, thinking that productivity means working ourselves into the ground 24/7. But I think we know the truth - burnout is NOT a badge of honor. It's a warning sign that something's gotta give as balance is key.

Just check out these stats HERE.
So, let's unpack this together.

For me, productivity isn't just about churning out endless tasks—it's about purpose. It's about aligning my actions with my goals (or OKRs as Barbara Visser of Expanded Focus, shared with us at the February First F*cking Friday meeting), values, and producing meaningful results that move the needle forward in my business and my life. Don't get me wrong, I'm not always successful in remembering this. Often forgetting more than not.

The kicker is productivity looks different for everyone. It's not a one-size-fits-all equation. It's about finding what works for you, your business, and your unique circumstances.

I think this is where tools and support come into play. Whether it's a trusty task management app, a kickass accountability buddy, or a revolutionary AI assistant like ChatGPT (more on that in a sec), having the right tools in your arsenal can make all the difference in staying on track and making shit happen.
That's why I think accountability is crucial. Whether it's through weekly check-ins with a badass accountability buddy or setting boundaries and sticking to them like your business depends on it (spoiler alert: it does), accountability keeps us honest and ensures we're staying true to our priorities. If you need an accountability buddy like I do, remember you can lean on this community!

Here is a photo of another FBomber, Michaela Ayers of Nourish, and me back in April 2020 during our weekly Friday 1:1's (we just happened to be twinning that day.). We have been doing this since 2019 and also do a mid-week text check-in for accountability every week even after 4 years.
While we're talking about accountability, mark your calendars for our March First F*cking Friday meeting, where we'll be diving into the world of productivity and exploring how tools like ChatGPT with one of our FBomb Advisors, Dr. Joan Palmiter Bajorek the CEO of Clarity AI (software and AI company), Founder of Women in Voice (501c3 with 20+ chapters), and Host of Your AI Roadmap. She'll be doing an active demo-style with us and it's gonna be epic, so don't miss out!

In the meantime, check out this article in Entrepreneur about the 7 Tips To Avoid Burnout As An Entrepreneur and share your thoughts with the community. How do you define productivity as a business owner? What tools or support systems do you rely on to stay on track? Share your wisdom in our FBomb Mighty Networks Community Forum because together, we're unstoppable.

Keep slaying, and remember - You've got this!

With love, laughter, and a whole lotta badassery,
Kimfer (she/her)
