The march that took place over this past weekend was a cowardly and disgusting display that was incredibly painful to so many in our beloved community. It is another example of this alarming increase in antisemitic and hate activity throughout Tennessee.

We must denounce hate in all forms. We will not be afraid.
We must stand as one, united.

If I can be of assistance in any way, please do not hesitate to reach out to me at brenda.gadd@nashville.gov.

Mayor O'Connell has a transit plan in the works…
here is what we know right now.
Mayor Freddie O'Connell can see where he wants Nashville's transit system to go. The next six weeks will determine how it might get there.

The mayor on Feb. 15 announced his pursuit of a transit referendum on the November ballot. Residents will be voting on a transit expansion plan, but more crucially, they'll be voting to raise taxes to secure dedicated transit funding. Just four of the nation's 50 largest metros lack such dedicated funding today, and Nashville is one of them.

I am most excited that this will be focused on what the city can do quickly we can secure through the right funding what the city most needs: sidewalks, buses for more routes, and other needs.
