If you’re unfamiliar with Yoto, it’s an audio player for kids that can play audiobooks, music, podcasts and more. My kids have one, and they listen to it every night before they go to bed. The First Name Basis team was talking and we thought, “Yoto is so amazing, and Bite-Sized Black History would be such a good thing to put on there for Black History Month.” So we took a chance and reached out to them … and they said YES! |

Y’all, I could cry. I can’t believe it! The thought that a company that I believe in so much — that I love and that my kids love — trusts us to share these important stories is just such a dream come true! They liked Bite-Sized Black History and picked us to put on Yoto! 😱💃🏾🎉 I just wish I could tell my little third-grade self — who hated Black History Month and dreaded talking about Black history at school — that this is going to be her future, to go back and tell myself, “You’re going to share these stories with kids and the reach is going to be beyond what you can imagine.” I mean, wow! 🥹 |
