Questions upon Questions
Lately, I've been realizing I don't know a lot, especially in the sphere of business, and I'm also realizing I don't know the questions I should be asking. As adults, I feel like we don't really ask questions unless we really don't know something, but perhaps it shouldn't be that way. A child will ask questions about everything, including the things they do know.

Just this Tuesday, a backhoe dug a hole on our street to fix some cables. That very same day, the hole was filled with asphalt and the steam roller came by to cure it. Abel watched the entire thing happen. But ever since Tuesday, Abel has been asking me every day, “Why did they dig a hole? Why did they fill the hole with asphalt?" He knows why. We asked the construction men why and they told us. I've answered the question when he asked it. And today, I replied, “Why do you think?” And he told me exactly why. So WHY IS HE STILL ASKING THESE QUESTIONS!?

Psychologists may say that kids asks questions they know the answer to because it makes them feel safe, almost like a liturgy or ritual, which I believe is part of the reason. However, as I've been struggling with asking the right questions to take the next steps in my business, I'm admiring and learning from this inquisitiveness.  It's okay to ask questions that you may know the answer to. Questions can more lead to more questions that you never knew you needed to ask, and it can be the key to unlocking the next step.

Do me a favor, please
I just started a Facebook Business page (so I'm official now haha). If you've enjoyed my art, would you so kind to leave me a review?

In the Studio

This year some of my BFFs and I started a monthly craft club (highly recommend starting one), and it's given me so much liberty to just play with different mediums and be an amateur at it. I've enjoyed it so much I've set up a painting station, so I can just go and paint when I need a break from my computer. AND I bought a polymer clay roller aka a pasta maker. Oh and I've been making lots of new cards and more city matchbooks are underway!

The real reason why I cant wait to send you my newsletter is to share these links with you.
  • Does your library have a seed library? Going to ours today!
  • This is so silly. Going up to the kitchen to do this asap.
  • Love this perspective: "“I’m playful. And I became increasingly more playful with age.”
  •
  • Trends are cyclical. We're bringing back the toilets
