Christian Duborg, the new CT Food & Nutrition Policy Analyst is convening meetings with municipal leaders and nonprofit organizations throughout the state engaging them on the overall landscape of food security in their respective communities. The hope is to gain insight into how the food system is operating as a whole, specifically, the strengths and areas of improvement in the current system, as well as any state-level changes or supports. This meeting will focus on Greenwich.
The Food & Nutrition Policy Analyst is housed in the Commission on Women, Children, Seniors, Equity & Opportunity with the central role to advise the Legislature and advocate for policies that will reduce food insecurity in the state, providing information to the public on the resources available to them, and facilitating coordination between various stakeholders in the food system.
Greenwich Food Alliance, a program of The Foodshed Network, is convening the session after a successful conversation with local nonprofit organizations.
We hope either you or a designated delegate will join us!
