FEBRUARY SHARES

Some things I've enjoyed, made me think, or have stuck with me that I came across this past month. I hope there's something here you find fun, inspiring, or helpful!
  • Submit something from your childhood to my talented and lovely artist friend, Parmeet! She is working on a project of turning childhood nostalgia into a print! Here's what she did with my childhood hairclips--it's so special and I love it so much! The deadline for submissions is March 18th.
  • Vday 2024 Mix I love a good love song any time of the year! Here's a playlist with 95 of my favorites!
  • Something sweet to try A few scoops of Trader Joe's Non-dairy Vanilla Bean Oat Frozen Dessert (like ice cream) with a few scoops of Calamansi & Mango Sorbet (also dairy-free--thank you Abby for letting me know how good it is!) It tastes like an orange creamsicle or orange bang drink!
  • Is anyone even reading this? If you also share work publicly online, this is a great read from Joy Cho.
  • Guess The Song Music Quiz | 100 Most Popular Songs 2000-2023 Jessica told me about this YouTube channel and we played this while she visited me in New Mexico (see more about that below :)) It was so much fun and so nostalgic. We got most of them--let me know if you pay and how you did! (There are a bunch of other quizzes on this channel!)
  • This man visited every single country without flying! I love reading stories like these as well as his take away from his travels and the message he wants to share from them.
  • Something I'm trying: Quarterly health goals with a focus on one area (food, sleep, exercise, etc.) I'm hoping making a few small changes over the course of 3 months will 1) help build better habits 2) Allow me to slowly add on a few more things throughout the year.
  • I'm obsessed with this dog and the way these photos capture pure excitement and chaos in the moment! Also very relatable for anyone who has had a food motivated dog or cat lol
  • Ricky Stanicky My friend Jenna and I both watched this over the weekend and both thought it was fun and entertaining! John Cena is pretty hilarious! And I've been a Zac Efron fan ever since seeing The Greatest Showman :) Watch the trailer here.
  • A few things I've been working on…
    • Sketchbook pages for the Creative Spark Newsletter! Here's my page for the prompt color (I am in a black/dark background phase :))
    • The 100 Day Project is going strong! We just finished Day 22. I'll be doing a recap once we get to Day 25! In the meantime you can find my daily posts on Instagram and TikTok.
    • January Year of Marks section
    • YouTube videos: Valentine's Adoption Story, Doggy DNA Test Part 1, Doggy DNA Test Part 2, Heart Shaped Lettering Tutorial.

ROAD TRIP REFLECTIONS & RECENT ADVENTURES

There was so much to share for February I was having a hard time putting it all together! I ended up deciding to break it up into 2 parts. Part 1 is up and includes Jessica's visit where we explore Santa Fe and Albuquerque! Part 2 will include the rest of my time in Santa Fe, NM and final thoughts on my month long stay there! Read part 1 by clicking here or the image below.

I hope the month of March is off to a good start for you and that if you had to spring forward for daylight savings this weekend, it hasn't been too rough :) Take care and talk to you soon!
