Hi First name / friend,
It's almost spring, and I am definitely feeling excited about this change in seasons as the weather warms up and I'm able to get out more with my partner and our dog Billie.

Spring is also a time when I notice that people are not just getting outside, they are also decluttering, purging, and showing off beautifully refreshed spaces on their social media feed.

Maybe that's you too?

If so, I'm right there with you. Decluttering, organizing, and refreshing spaces is one of my favorite things about springtime because it's a great way not only to feel more organized, but to help you feel happier and more inspired.

However, if you're not entirely sure how to start reaping the benefits that come with giving your home a spring refresh, then I've got some tips for you that have worked for my clients and which I use in my own home.

First, start with the rooms you live in the most. It's easy to get bogged down or overwhelmed in storage areas plus these areas aren't where spend the majority of your time so you won't really notice the impact of organizing them.

Instead, start in rooms like your living room, bedroom, or kitchen. When you make changes in these spaces, you'll definitely feel a positive boost from simple changes.

Second, when I start the process, I find it most helpful to ask questions like:

Does this item still fit my style?

Do I need it?”

What would I use if I didn't have it?

This makes it easier to decide what items stay, and what items don't.

Third, don't be afraid to give something new life by reinventing it. I'm a big believer in refinishing furnishings, changing out pillow covers, or even just changing out photos in frames to give a space a new look.

Not only is this a cost-effective way to refresh and revitalize your space, it's a great way to simply reinvent the items you already have.

And last, but not least, don't be afraid to let some things go. If they no longer tell your story, don't bring you joy, or simply don't fit your space then let them go and make room for pieces that will fit your space.

For me, part of the joy of this season is less about getting rid of things and more about simplifying spaces so the items which remain stand out and bring you joy every day.

Your spring refresh cheerleader,
Red
