Each Spring, Amy and I have always enjoyed teaching Easter and Semana Santa vocabulary and the traditions of Holy Week in Spanish-speaking countries to our students. Our students have always enjoyed learning about the customs and traditions of Spain, Mexico and Guatemala. We love teaching the tradition of Cascarones and then allowing the students to crack the cascarones over their classmates' heads. Their favorite activity is creating their own Andas or Pasos with graham crackers, icing and candies and then participating in the most creative Andas Contest.
