Hello First name / friend,
Welcome to your first Mindful Monday email, and thank you for having me in your inbox.

I'm sharing an art journal page that I created last week. I've been filming & editing a class that takes inspiration from the forest, so naturally the theme and colours have spilled into my personal pages. The found words that I glued onto the page read, “May she become a flourishing hidden tree” (they are from a Yeats poem but I've applied to my art in my own context)

While I don't have any desires to be “hidden” at the moment, these words paired with the imagery connect to how I feel in the forest. Whether I'm trail running, walking or sitting for meditation, I love to feel wrapped up by the forest, and small and anonymous in good way. The waterways are flowing, the boughs are bending in the wind, the birds and insects are zooming around. I see and sense all of this movement as nature is busy going about the business of flourishing. And I don't have to be anything to anyone in that moment. I can just quietly be in the forest.
