Finding Flow in Springtime
Hi First name / there

Ah, the beauty of Springtime…flowers blooming, birds chirping, warming days and cooler nights…there's nothing more precious than this seasonal rebirth and renewal.

Spring is a predominant “kapha” time of year, when earth and water take their rightful place as the heaviest and densest of all the elements. Absent appropriate balancing qualities that promote flow and prevent stagnation, “excess kapha” can lead to symptoms such as increased mucous accumulation, sluggish digestion and lethargy - all of which form the root of Spring allergies, sinusitis, seasonal migraines and colds.

If you're finding yourself suffering through Spring, or avoiding the wonders of nature's beauty this time of year, your body may be begging for some Ayurvedic Spring cleaning!

Ayurvedic cleansing can be as simple as simplifying your diet for a period of time to emphasize the balancing qualities of warm, dry and light in all things. So, spice up your soups, lighten up your foods (reduce portions and avoid dense and heavy meats, dairies and grains), and emphasize more astringent foods such as cauliflower, asparagus and broccoli cooked and spiced according to your constitutional needs.

If you're ready to go deep and get at the root of your imbalances, the flow of Spring is one of the best times of the year to book a personalized Ayurvedic Spring Cleanse! Learn more about Ayurvedic Cleansing in our articles below, or try out a new recipe and let us know how it goes!
