Hi there! Welcome to our Newsletter, where you're updated on allll the things happening at the Brightwater Wellness Hub.
 
It's so exciting to see all the fantastic developments happening at our hub space! BWH has been a hype of excitement this past month. We've really enjoyed meeting so many new and returning faces! 
 
We're thrilled to announce a range of updates, including a jam-packed calendar of events, a fresh yoga class schedule, and brand new offerings for you to enjoy. Plus, get ready for even more exciting news on the horizon!
 
So - let's dive in and explore what's in store! And remember to stay tuned to our socials, as each month is looking to have something new to share!
 
YOGA CLASSES
 
As we welcome March, we are also in the season of ‘release’ ~ Autumn. A time to begin to slow down and start shedding the speed of ‘summer’. A way to nurture this is through a consistent yoga practice. 
 
Each week, we hold regular Yoga classes along with a monthly Sunday restorative session. The Yoga goodness for this month is:
  • Monday @ 6pm - Yin + Reiki with Sofie
  • Tuesday @ 9am - Slow Flow with Christine
  • Thursday @ 6pm - Yin + Meditation with Sofie
  • Last Sunday of the month @ 2pm - Restorative Yoga with Christine
    • please note: this month, the class is held a week earlier due to Easter
Our studio is capped to a maximum of 10 attendees. This ensures an intimate class where you can feel comfortable knowing you are supported by the class Yogini. After all, yoga isn't about being lost in the crowd, it's about being found in the practice.
 
Did you know, we provide the equipment required for the class? That's right, so if you have never experienced Yoga before, and have been concerned that you don't have the things needed to attend - worry no more. Come down to the Brightwater Wellness Hub and experience Yoga - you will be pleasantly surprised of your capabilities and by the positive affects on your state of well-being!
 
Walk-ins are welcome however, we recommend booking as some classes are filling fast! Head to our website to book a class. We also offer yoga packages with prepaid options here.

New service offerings
This month we introduce ‘Care of the hands’ and ‘Care of the feet’ with manicure and pedicure options. These aren't your everyday mani/pedi experiences either, as we go a step further by introducing a complete relaxation experience.
 
We've also introduced Thriving Thursdays - a late week special to ensure your rejuvenation to take on the rest of the week. Click here for more details.

  We've expanded on our regular hours with some ‘by appointment only’ spaces becoming available as shown below:

Healing Arts
with Sofie
Reiki energy healing now available
Renowned to promote natural emotional and mental healing, Reiki is a gentle energy healing modality. Reiki known as ‘life force energy’ moves through the auric field, clearing and cleansing stagnant energy, releasing blockages, opening and balancing the chakras. Reiki assists in relieving stress, anxiety, depression and pain within the body. 
  
We are now offering Reiki healing at the Hub with Sofie. Sofie is a Reiki Master initiated in the traditional Usui System of Reiki Healing ~ Book now
Feature Classes
Pregnancy Yoga with Shine Yoga
Pregnancy Yoga 6 - week terms. Wednesdays 6:00pm & Fridays 9:30am
 
Pregnancy Yoga provides a safe and nurturing environment to stretch and strengthen your body, calm your mind and connect with your baby. Suitable for complete yoga beginners, these classes focus on physical and mental preparation for childbirth and the journey into motherhood.
 
Throughout the 6-week term, participants engage in exercises aimed at stretching and strengthening the body. The course includes various breathing techniques, not only to promote relaxation during pregnancy but also to aid in pain management during labour. Special attention is given to pelvic floor awareness, toning, and relaxation exercises.
Guided meditations and breath awareness exercises offer moments of self-reflection, allowing you to slow down and connect with your growing baby. Following each session, organic pregnancy tea is served, providing an opportunity for pregnant mothers to meet and chat with others in the community.
 
Whether you're anticipating a vaginal birth or planned C-section, Shine Yoga's Pregnancy Yoga classes offer support throughout pregnancy and into motherhood, embracing individuals at all levels of yoga experience.

Feature Classes
Yoga for Birth with Shine Yoga
Yoga for Birth 4 - week terms.  Wednesdays 9:30am. 

Yoga for Birth classes are tailored for women in their third trimester of pregnancy and specifically designed to offer a valuable opportunity to slow down and turn inwards during the later stages of pregnancy. Several active birth positions and movements are explored, aiming to optimise space in the pelvis which in turn allows bub to get into great position for birth and a smoother transition through the birthing canal. 
 
Breathing techniques for relaxation, focus and pain management are explored as well as guided meditations and visualizations to mentally prepare mothers for a serene and positive birthing experience. Exercises and movements are aimed at strengthening, stretching, and balancing the body, contributing to overall readiness for the birthing process.
 
Following each session, organic pregnancy tea is served, providing an opportunity for pregnant mothers to meet and chat with others in the community.

As the heat of summer starts to fade and a hint of coolness creeps into our days, we are called to slow down, reflect and pay a little more attention to the world within. This seasonal offering is an opportunity to experience a selection of powerful healing therapies and how they can support your wellbeing through the Autumn months.

Each of these ancient practices allow us to step away from the fast pace of our busy lives and take a deep dive into our subtle energy bodies. We explore the yogic chakra system and the channel pathways of Chinese Medicine and how these internal energetic pathways can influence our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health.

As the energy around us changes with each season, so does the energy within. Chinese Medicine believes that our best health can be achieved by aligning our daily activities, diet and movement practices with the qualities of the season we are in.
 
Autumn is the turning point from the Yang of summer, back towards the Yin of Winter. It is known as the season of Transition. As we notice the slight coolness in the air, the leaves drifting to the ground and the days shortening we start to feel the gentle pull to slow down. The organs associated with Autumn is the Lungs and Large Intestine. Both have a role in ‘letting go’. Each pivot point in the year is an opportunity to reflect on what we may be holding and consider whether it helps or hinders our health and wellbeing.

Restorative Yoga, Reiki and Sound Healing 
 
Restorative Yoga, Reiki, and Sound Healing harmonize seamlessly, offering profoundly beautiful and nurturing treatments for both your body and soul. In this 90-minute class, the fusion of Restorative Yoga, Reiki, and Sound Healing is meticulously curated to in-still a deep sense of relaxation and equilibrium—emotionally, physically, and spiritually. It is the perfect antidote for the demands of a hectic lifestyle.
 
Held once a month on Fridays from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm at the Brightwater Wellness Hub, this transformative experience is available for an investment of $45.
 
Restorative Yoga, characterized by its tranquil and meditative style, involves resting in poses for extended durations with full support from props. This support allows you to deeply relax and settle into each pose. Guided meditations and breath awareness further aid in drifting into a state of mental calmness, surrendering to the present moment. Beyond its restorative benefits, this yoga style aid to enhance sleep quality and relieving muscle tension.
 
Reiki, an energy healing technique, contributes to relaxation and stress reduction through gentle touch. Reiki practitioners utilize their hands to channel energy (chi) into the body, promoting the flow and balance of the energy system.
 
Sound Healing employs various musical instruments, notably crystal quartz singing bowls tuned to different frequencies. These vibrations facilitate healing in different aspects of the mind and body, complementing the overall therapeutic experience.

Mandala Chakra Journey

Join us for an intimate evening of energy healing and creative manifestation
 
Create your own mandala, manifest new energies and connect with your higher self within a safe and uplifting environment. The Mandala Chakra Journey begins with a guided journey of meditation, breathwork and creative visualisation through the energy body to connect and inspire. With the energies of the full moon, this is a magical time to tap into your innate creative flow, connect with your intuition, release and manifest.

Gentle Yoga w/ crystal Sound Bowls
 with Shine Yoga
Gentle Yoga with Crystal Sound Bowls.

A gentle yoga class designed to stretch your body, slow down your breath and calm your mind. Moving slowly and mindfully between each pose, allowing the body and mind time to fully slow down and receive the wonderful benefits each pose has to offer.  After a gentle 45 minutes of nourishing yoga poses we enter Savasana (guided relaxation) and enjoy a magical Sound Healing session with Crystal Sound Bowls.  
 
This class is suitable for complete beginners.
