This week I wanted to mix things up and focus on a specific color palette for your #CreateWithCatCoq challenge. But first, here are a few of the submissions from last week's challenge.

 

Fun fact: I have a huuuuge sweet tooth, but I’ve been trying to cut back on my refined sugar intake this year. I figured that if I’m not indulging in my favorite sweet treats as often, why not make a color palette inspired by colorful candy packaging? 

 

Your challenge this week is to use my “Sugar Rush” palette to create a new piece or recolor an existing one.

 

You can draw any subject you’d like this week, but try to stick with this color palette. It’s vibrant and coloful, so it’s perfect for bold illustrations as we head into the spring and summer months. 

 

Feeling stuck wondering what to draw? Keep it simple! Try drawing a floral motif, colorful tropical fruits, or your favorite sweet treat! But I also want to challenge you to think outside the box! Could you use this palette to recolor an existing piece you created? Or apply it to a subject that typically uses muted and natural tones like mushrooms or animals? The options are endless!

Back in October, I signed a licensing contract with ExpressionMed. Last week, my collection officially launched! I’m thrilled to finally showcase my line of fun & funky adhesives for wearable medical devices!

 

When ExpressionMed originally reached out about a collaboration, I was pretty curious about the actual product. I knew about glucose monitors and insulin infusion sets since some of my friends and family use them, but I never really stopped to consider the adhesives that held these devices in place.

 

Once I did some digging into the product, I was immediately on board. This brand does *such* an incredible job normalizing medical devices that both save lives & drastically increase quality of life. My goal is for people to feel more confident wearing their devices.
