Sharing knowledge and expertise among stakeholders is paramount for effective food system transformation. Collaboration enables farmers to adopt best practices, governments to craft evidence-based policies, and innovators to develop tailored solutions. By exchanging insights and experiences, stakeholders can collectively address complex challenges such as climate resilience, food security, and equitable access.

At NFP, we champion and focus on this interdisciplinary approach that fosters holistic solutions that consider social, environmental, and economic factors, driving sustainable change across the entire food system.

Study Tour on Protected Horticulture and Cold Chain Supply in Egypt
In February, NFP participated in a study tour on Protected Horticulture in Egypt, organised by NABC, Delphy and Dutch Greenhouse Delta and supported by EKN Cairo and RVO. Water scarcity is a key driver for the growth of protected horticulture in Egypt. It also explains the strong government support and the interest in Dutch horticulture trade and investment partners. The three-day tour was geared to Dutch input suppliers and included visits to a variety of greenhouses and networking opportunities with the Egyptian horticulture sector.
