The renowned Wild Horse Wine Production Facility, located in the Templeton Gap District within the Paso Robles AVA, recently changed ownership. The new proprietors are poised to uphold and elevate the legacy of this iconic establishment while E. & J. Gallo Winery retains ownership of the Wild Horse brand.
Established in 1981 by legendary winemaker Kenneth Volk, the Wild Horse Winery & Vineyards swiftly became an emblem of the region's rugged charm and pioneering ethos. Inspired by the wild mustangs roaming the nearby hills, the winery blazed a trail from inception, debuting its inaugural vintage in 1982. As one of the original eight bonded wineries in Paso Robles, Wild Horse paved the way for a generation of vintners to explore and exalt the unique terroir of an untamed landscape.
According to Wild Horse Founder Ken Volk:
"This facility served as an incubator for some of the most successful winemakers in Paso Robles, California, and beyond."
The future of this storied facility is as promising as its past, as it continues to shape the narrative of Paso Robles winemaking for generations to come. Reply to this email if you would like to know more.

Don't Miss Out on Federal Crop Insurance Enrollment
Attention agricultural producers: the deadline to sign up for federal crop insurance is fast approaching! March 15th marks the cutoff for enrollment in the Farm Service Agency’s (FSA) Agriculture Risk Coverage (ARC) and Price Loss Coverage (PLC) programs for the 2024 crop year.
The U.S. The Department of Agriculture (USDA) has made it easier than ever to enroll, with producers able to make election changes since December 18, 2023.
Whether you opt for ARC-County (ARC-CO), PLC, or ARC-Individual (ARC-IC) coverage, ensuring your enrollment and any election changes are completed by the deadline is crucial.
Remember, while changes for 2024 are optional, enrollment through a signed contract is required annually. Additionally, multi-year contracts will roll over unless an election change is made. Act now to protect your farm's future—failure to submit election revisions by March 15th will result in maintaining your 2023 election.
