Hey FBombers,

Kimfer here, wondering how the hell we're already in the last month of Q1! Is anyone else as dazed as I am?  Although dazed and a bit confused….

…I'm pumped!

Last week, I had the pleasure of recording an episode on the Human Capital Leadership podcast that will hit the airwaves sometime in May. We delved deep into the topic of Human Capital, and you know what? Accessibility ended up being a major theme of our conversation. From physical spaces to digital platforms, accessibility touches every aspect of our lives, and it's more important now than ever before.

While accessibility is gaining traction in conversations around Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), it's still not as prevalent as it should be. That's why I'm thrilled to have Bet Hannon, CEO of AccessiCart as our guest for our community conversation for our April First F*cking Friday meeting. As an expert in accessibility, Bet will shed light on this crucial topic and help us understand why it's essential for businesses to prioritize accessibility.

I know I'm preaching to the choir with this group, but accessibility isn't just about doing the right thing or being inclusive (although those are pretty fucking important). There are also numerous business benefits to consider. From strengthening SEO to reducing digital shopping cart abandonment, the advantages are endless. Plus, did you know that you can even get a Small Business tax break for being ADA compliant? What the, what?!

So, as we dive into the final stretch of tax season, let's keep accessibility at the forefront of our minds. It's not just about compliance, it's about creating a more inclusive and equitable world for all.

With love, laughter, and a commitment to accessibility,
Kimfer (she/her)
