"Most of the crowd spread their garments on the road ahead of him, and others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road. Jesus was in the center of the procession, and the people all around him were shouting, “Praise God for the Son of David! Blessings on the one who comes in the name of the Lord! Praise God in highest heaven!” Matthew 21:8-9 NLT

Welcome to Holy Week for Tired Women.

Each morning this week I’ll send you a quick word of encouragement, taken straight for Jesus’ actual last week before His death and resurrection. Together we’ll look at what He was doing and see how we can apply kingdom truth - even when we’re exhausted.

Do you know what’s wild about Palm Sunday?

It’s a moment where we commemorate a lot of people who honored Jesus - but didn’t call Him Lord.

They loved Him in the moment, but many of them would call for His crucifixion days later.

For you and I - it’s entirely possible, that in our busyness and fatigue, we can profess to love God - but not actually obey Him. We can seek to give Him glory with our lives, but not actually trust His power or sufficiency in our lives.

You probably know where I’m going with this. We try to obey God by disobeying God. We try to be about His kingdom WITHOUT receiving His rest.

One way you can worship God, honor Jesus as Lord in your life this week, is by receiving His invitation to rest and honoring your own human limits and boundaries.

You can practice reverence and rest, acknowledging that at the end of the day: He is over all, in it all, and holding it all together - so we don’t have to.

We can be like those who declared honor and praise on Palm Sunday, or we can make Jesus the Lord of our lives - starting with rest.

Don’t know where to start? Take this quiz on finding your fatigue.

LIVING FULLY AWAKE IN JESUS' NAME,

P.S. JUST FOR YOU -
