Roundtop Texas edition

I'm here now and I thought I would share my adventures with you!!
All that I've learned so far and all that I hope for the next week!!

Well I'm 10 days into this trip and 7 days into the show here at The Arbors in Roundtop TX. It has been …..a lot!! I guess I'l start form the beginning. Me and Charlie (my van) drove up here on Wednesday by myself knowing that my sister Keri and my new found art friends Faith and Wendy would be joining me. At the same time I had Jon and my dad setting up in Fairhope AL for my art show there. To say the very least I was feeling a little stressed. But I focused on the fact that all of these things were God's answers to my previous prayers and I couldn't let fear sneak in now. So I pushed on!!

Lessons from the set up -
1-There is no such thing as being over prepared. I walked through every step of what I would being doing and made list of every single thing we might need, from chargers to drills, we packed it all.
2-Drink more water than you think you need! I had a headache the entire second day probably from dehydration.
3-Ask for help! Could you do it alone, maybe. Is it more fun and less stressful to have help, absolutely. ( quick story: Wendy and Gareth came up to carry furniture for my space. Their truck broke down so we all loaded into Charlie to save the day. Something about hard things that bring us together!! It will be a first time Roundtop memory forever! )
4- Always be grateful for whatever weather you are experiencing… it can change really fast!!! We were sweating during set us with a fan on but who knew 3 days later there would be monsoons and I would be freezing!

Now 7 days of market have past and there is 7 ahead! I've meet great people and been mentored and learned more than I new there was to learn. I've had sweet friends visit me and there are more coming. I've felt seen and loved and just have an overwhelming feeling of gratefulness.

If you're thinking of living this life style I would say 10 out of 10 I recommend it!!!It's not for everyone but now that i'm living it I cant imagine it any other way!!!
