SO GLAD YOU'RE HERE
april, 2024

April is my favorite month of the year.

!t’s renewal time…it’s my birthday month…and the outdoor world of fauna and flora are coming to life with birthing and blooming! What a joyful time of year!

It’s also a season where many things are happening in the worlds of fashion and jewelry. New collections are being launched, new trends are being set, and desires for the newest looks are heightened!

One thing I am seeing is the palette of beautiful colors used in fashion design is being mirrored in creating fine jewelry as well. Nature designs with flowers, animals and butterflies accented with beautiful gems, beads, or colorful enamel is right on trend!

Park & Lex Jewelry!

One of my favorite designers for simply divine beaded jewelry designs using creative combinations of natural gemstone beads with gold and silver accents is Park & Lex Jewelry. Check out these photos of their lovely designs of bracelets, neck chokers and earrings.

Dana, the creative force behind these pieces, is also the one who procures the gems and painstakingly hand creates each of her designs. She mixes and matches the beads and hand-crochets them all. Each is unique because although they look similar in their color palette, each gem is one of a kind.  Mother nature intended it that way!

And…besides what their website offers, Dana will create a custom color palette for her designs to match your taste or occasion. I am finding these are perfect gifts for everyone and can also make your bridal party gifts very personalized.

You can check out their website at www.parklexnyc.com, Be sure to contact me personally though with questions or when you want to place your order as I have established a great relationship with Dana and am offering special pricing on her beautiful designs.

Even Queens can love dollhouses…especially bejeweled ones!
Take a look inside Queen Mary’s miniature Edwardian townhouse…

“Queen Mary (of the United Kingdom), the grandmother of Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, was renowned for her love of all things small and decorative.

In 1920, Princess Marie Louise, Queen Mary’s friend, and a cousin of her husband George V, decided to commission Sir Edwin Lutyens (who also designed the British ambassador’s residence in Washington DC, where Princess Diana stayed when she famously danced with John Travolta in 1985) to design a sumptuous dolls’ house for Her Majesty.

This year marks the centenary of when the impeccably presented scaled-down Edwardian townhouse was completed and given to Queen Mary.

The life-like London four-story townhouse was built between 1921 and 1924 and given to Her Majesty as a gift from the people of the United Kingdom. It was decorated and filled with contributions from over 1500 of the well-known ‘brands’ of the day, including Singer Sewing Machines and Hoover Vacuums.

Artists such as Dorothy Cohen painted paintings and murals, displayed on the walls. There is a well-stocked wine cellar, a garage full of contemporary cars, and a library of books from the important authors of the day including Sherlock Holmes creator Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, plus a grand piano with functioning ivory keys.”

This month, I am featured on another amazing podcast for an episode of “The Sovereign Soul: Human Design Podcast“ with Tina LeAnn.  Human Design is such an intriguing subject. Human Design is a powerful tool for a deeper understanding of your authentic self. Tina has mapped out my Human Design chart and I cannot wait to have her guide me to open my heart and soul to gain insight into my purpose, greatest gifts, talents, and highest potential. Check out Tina's website for more in-depth details. HOME - The Sovereign Soul

The interview was both fun and fantastic!  Tina guided me to tell my story of how I got started in the jewelry industry, some of my favorite memories of buying diamonds and gems, raising exotic felines – ocelots & margays, and how I incorporate spirituality and wellness practices into my daily life…plus more little gems!  I discovered from my Human Design Chart reading that I am living my life’s purpose.  I am a “Manifester”.  I am a leader, who takes charge and being an entrepreneur is fulfilling to me.

I’m Happy On Purpose!!

Yes…I’ve designed my life that way.

I am “happy on purpose”!  It helps being a morning person as it’s typically very easy for me to rise and hit the ground running. I’m genuinely excited to feel so alive and healthy and energetic enough to dive into the day. I start each day deciding to be happy…and it happens!

Even if it’s a chore to drag yourself out of bed, drink 3 cups of coffee before the brain fog leaves, and you’re up to facing the day, you can still choose to be happy about living another day!

Each evening, my routine is to create a written “To Do” list for the following day so when I wake up, I have a game plan to follow. For the most part, I know what I’m up to, but I also allow for flexibility for cancellations, new opportunities – and good and bad surprise things!  I’m happier when I feel mostly in control of my schedule, but realistic when there are detours.

I personally believe the key to being happy is to make a conscious choice to do so!  In my case, it’s just a state of mind…an expectation to be happy that I’ve set for myself. Oh, hell yes! That is correct!  I expect to be happy!  Now of course there are times I am sad or anxious or angry and a whole slew of other emotions.

That’s life too!  But there’s a huge difference between mood and mindset. Like everyone, I can get into some funky moods…but my underlying mindset is always happy. And having a positive state of mind allows me to get balance back into my life much more quickly.

To be happy, you need to make sure to incorporate things into each day which purposely make you happy.  What’s that for you? For me, I start with a short meditation, early morning beauty routine, take a run and get a workout in, pull myself together to look great in my favorite athleisure wear or favorite outfits, and accessorize with jewelry. I breakup my day with an afternoon walk, hang out and converse with my fiancée Dan, and interact with other positive people at work, at the gym, online, or in person and randomly throughout my day.

I can end on as happy a note as when I began. I try to fill my day with happy thoughts and experiences.

It's not really that hard to be happy on purpose. No rocket science here!  What do you need to do to live your life “Happy on Purpose”?
