National Letter Writing Month is coming up in April and I'd love for you to join me in a snail mail swap! My idea is to send postcards with a short list of things that made you smile recently. I've been doing this with my pen pal Andrea for several years and it's been so fun! Reading her lists always makes ME smile and gives me an idea of who she is, what she's been up to, and how her days have been. I've also been really into picking up postcards in each city I've visited! I think this will be a fun and easy way to get to know someone, find unexpected connections, and spread a little joy! WHO CAN PARTICIPATE IN THIS SWAP: Anyone who enjoys sending and receiving snail mail is welcome to join! International participants are welcome.
REQUIREMENTS: - Send a postcard to each of your swap matches with a list of things that made you smile recently.
- I'd like to put participants into groups of 4 (maximum), that way each person will receive 3 postcards in the mail. However this will depend on how many people sign up so I will keep you posted.
- By signing up you agree to send up to 3 postcards.
- Optional: If you'd like to send more than the the required postcards (such as a greeting card, letter, stickers, etc.) you are more than welcome to! But please note this is completely optional and a postcard is what you should expect to receive.
IMPORTANT DATES: - March 29th is the last day to sign up for the swap.
- April 1st is when you'll receive information about your swap matches. That email will also include some ideas and tips for sending out your postcards.
- April 8th If you have international matches (you have the option to opt out if you'd like) please send out your postcards as soon as possible since it may some time to be delivered.
- April 15th Please send all your postcards out by this date so your recipients can receive them during this month!
