// the mood & vibes this week
— i'm writing this to you from my family's home in northern california. i'm departing tomorrow for los angeles after a restorative & connected week.
— in these last seven days, i've visited with friends, said hello to my favorite hiking trails, had exceptionally good nosh, and even written an offer remotely.
— since i'm short on time today, i wanted to include a little note from a recent post, with musings about what i'm dreaming of this summer:
“because at the end of the day, my friends and clients all have one thing in common: we all just really f*ck with canyon houses. there’s something about them that evokes a delicious attitude towards life. a distinct sense of counterculture, of earthy rebellion, of sensory pleasure. and this one’s reminding me of all the yummy things i have planned for my first summer as a canyon resident. i can’t wait to enjoy my proximity to the beach, and learn to surf again after two years on the bench. i can’t wait to be thrown off of waves — laughing until my belly aches, to emerge drenched in saltwater, curls dripping down my back. i can’t wait for dinner parties i’ll be throwing in my new backyard — summer wine, close friends, late july harvests. those little slices of life kinda feel emblematic of this house, of the houses my clients & i love so dearly.”
