Being healthy looks different for everybody. Good health is not how much we weigh or how often we workout or whether we have a medical condition. It's about the quality of our lives-which includes our physical, mental, and social well being.
Join us and Fulton County Board of Health on Friday, April 5th at 3pm-6pm in the parking lot outside of City Hall for the
Connecting with Mayor and Council
We've had an eventful month with ribbon cuttings and community events! One exciting development is the ION Arts and Diamond College Park, a transit-oriented development strategically located near Marta. Favor House hosted their 3rd Annual Spring in Favor Track Meet at Bill Badgett Stadium, drawing in over 1500 attendees. With approximately 350 youth participating in races, shot put, and long jump competitions, the event was a resounding success. A heartfelt thank you to Rex & Subrenia Willis for their unwavering commitment to our community, providing invaluable extracurricular opportunities for our youth. Additionally, Councilwoman McKenzie distributed Easter Baskets to our College Park Seniors, spreading “eggcitement” throughout our community.

Spring arrived with a snap, but Saturday brought us a perfect day to gather at Willis Park with Councilman Carn for a delightful cookout and fun-filled East Egg Hunt!

Who said meetings can't be fun and informative? Councilwoman Arnold had the pleasure of meeting with the College Park Lady Rim Rockets on their media day, March 9th. She is cheering for the team as they aim for the championship. Huge thanks to Mr. George Oliver, the coaching staff, the entire support team, and the parents for backing these talented young ladies. She was grateful for the invitation to join in—now let's bring home that trophy!

DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
The College Park Main Street Association (CPMSA) Spring Kick-off – the “Wine Stroll” in collaboration with the Department of Recreation & Cultural Arts “Live Music on the Lawn” was a success! We estimated over 300 hundred people in attendance, and we sold out of wine glasses again this year! For the first time, we incorporated golf carts from the College Park Historic Golf Course to escort people to North Main Street and Virginia Station, with the assistance of volunteers and our College Park Police Department.

AIRPORT AND GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS
Last month, Aerotropolis Atlanta Alliance held it's 4th Annual Career, College, and Resource Expo in collaboration with Fulton County Schools and Clayton County Public Schools. High school students from multiple area schools attended the event. There were insightful conversations about diverse career paths and exciting internship opportunities available in the area. Our Airport Affairs Director, Brecca Carter, had the opportunity to engage with the youth and fellow corporations as well as discuss the impact College Park and its community partners have on empowering and supporting the local community at events like this.
