International
Black Women's History Month

Hey Cöllective! My bad on being a few days late for this issue.
Last week got busy expectedly and I've been taking on side gigs to save up for all the traveling I have planned later in the year. So I'm adjusting the best I can as far as time management goes. So instead of freaking out about missing the deadline, I remembered this is a community that appreciates realness. Plus, I knew you would understand, and of course I'm not going to ghost y'all! LOL! I have to make sure I don't let capitalism run my mind or body. I am spirit first, human second. Shout to Lady Shantrelle P. Lewis for making sure I know she's appreciates the newsletter. I appreciate all of you that have emailed, or DM'd me saying how much you love Menärchē.
Listen, y'all are my motivation to keep going. FOREAL!
In speaking of motivating one another…
Did you know that April is International Black Women's History Month?! No seriously! Someone told me last month, and I'm here for it. I mean I think it's been our month for some time but I'm glad it's becoming more official! We must honor and give thanks to Sha Battle, the Black woman behind the movement. This is what she stated as the mission: "Black Women’s History Month is to embrace achievements, build understanding and awareness, and to celebrate the rich history of the past, present and future generations of not only Black Women but Minority Women who are the Descendants of Africa to include: African American,  Afro-Austrailian, Afro-Mexican, Afro-Latino, Afro- Argentine, Afro-Brazilian, Afro-European, Afro Bolivian, Afro-Colombian, Afro-Guyanese, Afro-Peruvian, Afro-Bahamian, Afro-Barbadian, Afro-Caribbean, Afro-Cuban, Afro-Dominican, Afro-Puerto Rican, Afro-Saint Lucian, Afro-Trinidadian and Tobagonian, Afro-Vincentian, Afro-Asian, Italians of African descent, Afro-Greeks, Afro-French, Afro-Germans, Black British. Black Women’s History Month is about unifying the community by promoting visibility, education, empowerment, contribution and achievement which positively impacts communities across the globe."
