That it will never come again is what makes life
so sweet.
- Emily Dickinson

Hello everyone 🤎
This email is going to be a little different…
This time we're getting personal.

“You are your own worst critic.”
If you've been on my table then chances are you've heard me say this to you before.
As women, when does the self criticism stop? When we're 30?…When we're 50?…When we're dead?
Do you know how many times I have had my picture taken, looked at the photos and thought “Wow, I look hideous”. Then months later I'd look back at those same photos and think “I actually didn't look so bad".
I think it's nearly impossible to really see ourselves through a clear lens. I guess you could say the lens we see ourselves through are a bit foggy.
All the time we spend and have spent on wishing our skin clearer, our bodies slimmer, our hair thicker…we're failing to honor ourselves as the women we are now.
Don't you think it's about time we start speaking to ourselves with kindness, quit the game of comparison and be grateful for this vessel that continues to carry us through the journey of life.

You know what…
I think if I were to round up all of you lovely ladies and put you in a room together, what you would see amongst yourselves is only beauty and no beast.

Final Thoughts

When we fail to see the beauty within ourselves and succumb to that negative inner voice, try and remember yourself as a little girl. When you are saying something unkind to yourself, imagine you're saying it to her.

I have a feeling she might help you see things more clearly.
